Shop nowDr. Porto (Dennis A. Porto) graduated at the top of his class from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, earning membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed a skin cancer research fellowship and later a Master of Public Health at Harvard, where he was awarded the Lewis Hackett Scholarship.
After completing internship and a three-year dermatology residency, Dr. Porto pursued advanced subspecialty training in Mohs micrographic surgery — the most precise technique for skin cancer removal — and is double board-certified in both dermatology and Mohs surgery.
He is co-author and editor of the definitive textbook on Botox and cosmetic injectables, author of dozens of peer-reviewed articles, and a recipient of the Golden Scalpel from the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He holds a faculty appointment at Mount Sinai, where he teaches skin cancer surgery.
