Dr. Porto (Dennis A. Porto) graduated at the top of his class from the University of Iowa College of Medicine, earning membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed a skin cancer research fellowship and later a Master of Public Health at Harvard, where he was awarded the Lewis Hackett Scholarship.

After completing internship and a three-year dermatology residency, Dr. Porto pursued advanced subspecialty training in Mohs micrographic surgery — the most precise technique for skin cancer removal — and is double board-certified in both dermatology and Mohs surgery.

He is co-author and editor of the definitive textbook on Botox and cosmetic injectables, author of dozens of peer-reviewed articles, and a recipient of the Golden Scalpel from the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He holds a faculty appointment at Mount Sinai, where he teaches skin cancer surgery.
