Privacy policy

This policy covers skincare.md, the informational website of Dennis A. Porto MD PLLC. It does not cover the separate platforms used for scheduling, messaging, and ordering, each of which has its own policy.

The short version

This website is a set of static pages. It does not ask for health information, it has no patient login, and it stores nothing about you on our servers. The only form on the site is the accessibility feedback form. Care itself happens on separate platforms, described below.

What this website collects

What this website does not collect

No health information, no account credentials, no payment information, and no cookies set by us. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers named above, each acting on our behalf.

Where care actually happens

Scheduling, messaging, consultations, and prescriptions take place on our patient platform, and skincare products are ordered through a separate fulfillment partner. Those platforms collect the information needed to deliver care and are governed by their own privacy policies and, where applicable, their own obligations under HIPAA. Information you share inside the patient platform is protected there, not here.

Your choices

You can block or clear local storage and cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized Google advertising through Google's own ad settings. Depending on where you live — including California, where Dr. Porto is licensed — you may have rights to request access to or deletion of personal information a business holds about you. To make such a request regarding this website, write to us using the contact route below.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with an updated review date.

Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent through the form on our accessibility page, which reaches the same inbox. If you are an established patient, please use your patient portal instead — it is the secure channel for anything involving your care.
